Fancy Nails!

Look how fancy I am today! I got my "3 Free Zoya" polishes recently from a promo they were doing where you pretty much paid shipping and got 3 polishes free. It was an awesome sale! I basically forgot I ordered them until they showed up in the mail. Isn't that the best - when you surprise yourself with presents? haha

Products Used:
Seche Vite basecoat
Zoya 'Raven'
Zoya 'Trixie'
Urban Outfitters
lots of patience!

Face of the Day * January 29th, 2013

Todays face is composed of just as many brushes as products. I actually made an effort to keep everything I used out on my desk and I realized I use one brush for every product I'm using. I really thought I was a "multi purpose" gal if that makes any sense but I guess I just love dirtying brushes.

Sorry for the crappy phone picture but the products used are listed below!

Beneft Porefessional face primer
Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in Ivory
Tarte bronzer in Park Avenue Princess
The Balm blush in Cabana Boy
Mac Skin Finish Natural in Soft and Gentle
Covergirl Eye Enhancers Kit in Prom Queen
Maybelline Great Lash clear mascara for my brows
Lorac eyebrow pencil in blonde
Elf eyelid primer
Rimmel Lash Accelorator Mascara in Black

All brushes are ELF or Real Techniques

Thats my face! Hope you like, questions or comments leave them below!

Man, did I have some technical difficulties on this one. I am learning how to deal with youtube and imovie and final cut pro so quickly! Hah
Anyway, this look is something I've been doing a lot lately. Its super easy and doesnt feel heavy through out the day. I don't typically like to cake on eyeliner and like to keep things simple. I feel this look could work for any face/skin type. Any questions or comments, leave them below! Thanks for watching. xoxo

Review!: Essie Merino Cool * the perfect muted purple

Let's be honest, nail polish is what first started my foray into the beauty world. And Essie was the first polish brand I really lusted after. They have a huge range of colors and I just can't seem to get enough of those cute little glass bottles and white cap. Half of my nail polish rack is Essie.

In the past I've been a huge fan of BRIGHT, summery colors a la orange, blue, kelly green. I just love colors and patterns all around. Lately I've been trying more muted, pale, colors - dare I say, even nudes! I never thought I'd like any of these color ranges on my fingertips at all. After trying Merino Cool here, I'm sure, I do love muted, gray shades of any color. Maybe that has to do with living in a very gray city...

This polish is definitely purple with a gray overtone. I started out with a base coat of Seche Vite, then only one coat of Merino Cool, and a top coat from Urban Outfitters. Its been perfect and shiny and lovely for 3 whole days now - that's a long manicure for me. I work in an office and type all day long, open up cans of cat food for my kitties when I get home - I am very prone to chipping and very careful I do my manicures nicely so they last a while. This polish has exceeded my expectations and I absolutely adore the color!

I will give credit where credit is due though. I never would have thought to try this color if not for fellow beauty blogger ViviannaDoesMakeup raving about it. And that, ladies, is why I love the blogging/youtube community! If you think you may like this color or have been teetering on the edge of picking it up, go now! You'll love it.
